In June 2025, sciatica kicked my ass. My Doctor prescribed Gabapentin 600 mg and steroids. The Gabapentin helped me sleep, but I still could not put my right shoe on. The steroids are what helped me.
My mother suffered from persistent sciatica. Her doctor finally sent her to a neurosurgeon who cauterized her sciatic nerve. She was free from sciatic pain for the rest of her life.
I hope you get better soon.
