For hundreds of years, the ultimate "gotcha" question in physics—from Galileo dropping spheres off the Leaning Tower of Pisa to David Scott dropping a hammer and a feather on the Moon during Apollo 15—has been the Equivalence Principle: Why do objects of different masses accelerate at the exact same rate?
